Welcome to The Wanderer’s Chapel

An open sanctuary for peace and reflection, The Wanderer’s Chapel is a unique destination and attraction located in the village of Visuvesi, in the municipality of Ruovesi. It also serves as a venue for various summer events and can be reserved for occasions such as wedding ceremonies.

The chapel is situated on an island intersected by main road 66. Visu-yhtiöt has developed the shoreline of the island´s industrial area, which employs around one hundred people, into a recreational area open to everyone. Near the Wanderer´s Chapel, there is a beach and s park area with over a hundred different species and varieties of trees, shrubs, and perennials.

You are welcome to experience the tranquil atmosphere of The Wanderer’s Chapel at any time — the chapel doors are always open.
